Interview with Tim Phelan

He knows what is like to spend days charting every bathroom from the house to the airport, counting down the miles to the next gas station rest stop and discovering new and covert ways to hide the ever mounting pile of Pepto-Bismol bottles.

Tim Phelan, the man who has coined the term “coming out of the water closet” for IBS, is the author of the comical memoir Romance, Riches, and Restrooms: A Cautionary Tale of Ambitious Dreams and Irritable Bowels

Tim’s book inspired me to not only begin writing a blog and come out of the “water closet” myself, but to step back and reflect on the sometimes precariously funny situations in which people with IBS can often find themselves.  His book is daring, clever, honest and refreshing!

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to speak with and interview Tim about the book and why he chose to tell his very personal story.  I can honestly say he is a genuine, charming, and good-humored guy who understands nearly everything about living, working and dating while catering to the demands of IBS.  If you like my blog, you will LOVE his book!!! ;)
