I’m seriously lacking time to write a decent blog. I promise I have stuff in the works but for now I just want to share something amusing that happened this weekend.
I spent Saturday night with a few friends at Wunderland, a local arcade. I introduced my best friend to Dance Dance Revolution for the first time. It was a blast! I’m a decent dancer, when I’m dancing to my own tune J Nothing makes you feel more clumsy than this game, but I guess that’s why I like it. Actually, I like it so much that I decided I had to have it at home!
So, I went to Target on an impulse and bought it. I also grabbed a few things for my desk at work since it has to look pretty (the auditors are here) and that was it! The check out person tears off the receipt from the register and says “Here is your receipt and a coupon for $1 off Imodium.”
I laughed out loud. Actually, it probably sounded more like I choked, because he stammered “I don’t know why they do that, it just prints random coupons” and sort of looked the other way. Was this a coincidence? My guess is NO. It wouldn’t be out of the question to assume that they are keeping tabs on my purchases, and apparently I must buy Imodium a lot! I can’t blame them, and actually $1 is pretty good, that stuff is expensive!
You can’t hide anything anymore. I used to be terrified to purchase Imodium in front of (GASP!) an actual person and would go out of my way to a store that had electronic check outs, but these days I don’t give a crap!(thank you, Imodium) J If, however, you find this a challenge for yourself, there is always Drugstore.com.

Hi, Nicole! I can totally relate to how you feel! You’re a very brave soul (and a humorous one, too)!
Thank you for sharing!

Hi Nicole ! This was too funny
I used to be embarrassed to buy Imodium and gas meds from a real person too. Now I just try to dodge the lanes being worked by a kid I recognize from work. Which can be a game all by itself…
I wanted to tell you too that I love your blog. It actually inspired me to write me own!
So thank you for being brave and inspiring bravery in others.
Have a great day!

Well you’re right that you can’t hide anything. Actually, I’ve got a proposition for you. I’m going to be totally upfront, but basically I am looking for blogs on IBS and people who have IBS to try a new product from Procter & Gamble
I work for a marketing agency, and we found your blog and we love it. Its great to see someone so young and hip talking about this problem out in the open.
Have you heard about Align at all? It is a new product from P&G that treats digestive symptoms…the people who have tried it love it.
We’d like to send you a free two-month sample of Align, a new probiotic supplement for people suffering from digestive upsets, to find out what you think.
Email me at laurie@bridgeworldwide.com with your mailing address, and we’ll send it (no charges of any kind).
The website is http://www.aligngi.com if you want to find out more about it first.
Thanks, I hope I hear from you!

Hi Nicole,
I like your site!! What do you eat? I am having a terrible time. Did you take Laurie Green up on her offer for Align? My Dr. just told me to get it and it is not cheap, and you can only get it by ordering it on line.
I don’t like to take drugs but this is a natural supplement. If you did try it Is it working for you? Good luck
